The 2012 List of Holidays of the Philippines

Malacanang has recently released the list of holidays for 2012 in the Philippines.

DECLARING THE REGULAR HOLIDAYS, SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAYS, AND SPECIAL HOLIDAY (FOR ALL SCHOOLS) FOR THE YEAR 2012

Note:
- Easter is a major festival holiday in the Philippines and travel may be disrupted.
- Notice there are a number Philippines holidays 2012 near end of the year.
- December 24 is almost always made into a Philippines holiday (or at least a half-day working day), December 25 is Christmas Day holiday.
- With 25 December 2011 falls on Tuesday, expect Christmas Eve 2012 to be made as Regular Holiday as filler between Sunday and Christmas.
- As of year 2006, Islamic holidays of Eid al Fitr and Eid al Adha will be celebrated as regional holiday in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
